This Monday I’ll be playing with Benny Walker at Yabun Festival in Sydney.

It is the largest one day celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures in the country.

Looking forward to celebrating the oldest living culture on earth.

Benny Walker Band @ The Gasometer Hotel, Collingwood

Friday the 18th of July, Benny Walker and his band will hit The Gasometer Hotel, Collingwood as a part of Leaps and Bounds Music Festival.
Hailing from regional Victoria, Indigenous singer/songwriter Benny Walker is the real deal. His love songs and epic tales are mixed with passion for the land, the people, summer vibes and deep grooves are the elements that reach the soul.

Benny has performed alongside some of Australia’s finest, including Archie Roach, Blue King Brown, Tim Rogers and Vika & Linda Bull, and was awarded Victorian Indigenous Performing Arts Award for Best New Talent in 2012. In recent years he has performed at some of the country’s best-loved festivals, including Moomba, Woodford, St Kilda Fest and Blue Mountains Music Festival and also taken the plunge into the Canadian festival circuit.

Joining Benny and his band on the night will be Grim Fawkner. is an itinerant minstrel, whose acoustic works range from upbeat folk/country, to soulful balladry, with elements of blues, pop & indie thrown in.

Benny Walker Band in Bendigo

Benny Walker Band in Bendigo

Had a great weekend playing in Bendigo with Benny Walker. We were up there doing some shows which included a fundraising event for the Bendigo Blues Festival later this year. Treated like royalty and played to some great crowds – Bendigo is a special town.
